Cherry Point Remodel
Updated: Jun 15, 2020
After all the time we have been spending at home over the past eight weeks, you have probably become well acquainted with many of your homes imperfections and flaws. The good news is now is the time to plan for these improvements as we navigate and emerge from stay at home orders.
The video is my family's "Demo Day" in when we started our home renovation. The renovation was completed in three months and included a new expansive kitchen, dining, laundry, mudroom, walk-in pantry, and living area. The 1950's ranch had a lot of space but underutilized due to the compartmentalized chopped up layout. My goal was to maximize the existing footprint in not adding additional square feet and create an open and inviting kitchen centered around living and dining that connected to the back yard. The result was a light filled open gathering place for my family.
Our favorite part of the remodel is the 10' kitchen island and children's study that became essential for e-learning during Quarantine.
